Wine Cap Mushroom Workshop

Learn how to grow organic Wine Cap mushrooms in your yard for a delicious and nutritious treat!  

Dr. Richard Leep, mushroom grower, will lead us in this hands-on workshop.  Participants will learn about mushroom biology, what trees can be used to inoculate with different mushroom spawn and integrated pest control in mushrooms.  Together we’ll build and inoculate a bed with wine cap mushroom spawn on the farm to be harvested next spring.  You’ll leave with spawn to make a 5’x5’ bed in your own yard.  

This workshop is $45, which includes a 5 lb bag of Wine Cap sawdust spawn
