Growing With Sprouts
Growing with Sprouts 🌱 is our farm-based education programming for children and youth! We can't wait to welcome your kiddos to the farm! At Plainsong Farm, we offer hands-on, immersive learning experiences for children and young people that develop stronger ties to their community, enhance appreciation for the environment and nurture active citizens.

Let Them Play
This WEEKLY drop-in time is designed for children of all ages along with their caregivers to explore the farm and deepen their connection to nature. The education garden, pine grove and mud kitchen will be open for child-led, unstructured play. Come engage all your senses - taste what's ripe each week, search for bugs and birds, build a fort, or cook up a mudpie. Staff will be available to answer questions as needed.
2025 Dates/Times: Wednesdays, 4:30-6:30 pm June 4-October 5

Farm Adventures
Join us for FARM FUN & EXPLORATION every third Wednesday of the month starting in June. Children will participate in guided, farm-based activities & crafts ranging from things like planting and harvesting vegetables, to painting with natural pigment, to constructing garden music makers. Each month offers a new way to engage with the Farm. Caregivers are not required to participate but need to remain on the Farm during the program.
2025 Dates/Time: 6-7 pm on June 18, Jul 16, Aug 20, Sep 17, Oct 15
Cost: $5/child (program fee is capped at $10 for families with multiple children). If cost is a factor please reach out to Katharine@plainsongfarm.com. We are committed to making these activities accessible to everyone regardless of ability to pay.
