The Rev. David M. Blank (He, Him) was elected to the Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lake’s Standing Committee. He has been assigned to the Plainsong Board as the liaison to the Standing Committee. He is delighted to serve in this capacity and in strengthening the relationship between Plainsong Farm and the congregations of the Diocese. He looks forward to learning and participating with the many ministries offered by the Farm. Father Dave was received into the Episcopal Church as an ordained priest in October 2023 following 39 years of ordained ministry with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He is serving as an Interim Rector at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Grand Rapids.

He is an award-winning amateur winemaker and spends most of his free time refurbishing old Lionel trains. When the weather is warmer you will find him working in the many flower beds around the house. He is married to a gifted artist and nurse, Judith Cole Blank. He has two sons, a daughter-in-law and four grandsons.
