Erin Taylor

Farm Fellow

Erin Taylor (she/her) first heard of Plainsong when they visited her “Food, Faith, and Place” class at university. She was inspired by how the farm saw faithfulness to God as faithfulness to people and earth. Now, four years and a degree later (Biology and Global Development Studies), Erin is joining the farm as a 2025 Farm Fellow. Erin is looking forward to slowing down and being present in her nine months at Plainsong, practicing how to listen for God and walk with him in everyday life, as well as exploring the field of regenerative agriculture as it fits together with community development. Before Plainsong, Erin was immersed in the world of plants, native and non-native, for work with a watershed restoration group and on a botanical inventorying project of Grand Rapids parks. In her free time, she still likes to take long walks to meet many plants, as well as cook, find live music, and try to become a “handy” person, fixing up her old bike and car.
