Orchard wassailing is an over 1,000 year old ritual, a winter blessing of the trees, during which communities sang and danced amongst the trees, fed the birds that aid the health of the trees, and nourished the roots of the trees with cider and other spirited drinks.
We gather here at the end of Christmastide, when it's gray and gloomy to remember there is light. To remember that God has come close, to remember that darkness is not the end of the story. There will be light.
Come for a bonfire, singing, hot drinks, and ancient rituals reimagined. All ages are welcome.
