Since 2019, 18 young adults, representing 11 different states, being formed in the practices of justice, community, discernment and hope have given over 11,946 hours of service to the community. Plainsong’s alumni Fellows have gone on to work in non-profits, chaplaincy, the Church, farming, education, the law, food advocacy, and conservation.

127,433 servings of good food have been distributed since 2022 through North Kent Connect, Community Food Club, Grand Rapids Community College Pantry, and other partners, including ACCESS of West Michigan and Rockford First Congregational Church.
Since 2021 school groups, corporate volunteers, church book clubs, individuals of a variety of ages and abilities, and more have grown in their understanding of and connection to the food system and the ecosystem while supporting a community-driven approach to food access, helping to grow good food for neighbors.

Since 2021 there have been 211 different formation events where folks of all ages have gathered to ground in life-giving rhythms for learning, wondering, tending and praying through workshops, field trips, storytelling events, singing, and orchard waissalings.
This work is sustained because of our ongoing partnerships with North Kent Connect, the Diocese of the Great Lakes, Episcopal Service Corps, Lilly Endowment, Amway, and Corwell Health.
