Flowers at the Farm

Beauty and Nourishment

In 2025 Plainsong Farm added a small flower patch to our front field, growing a variety of seasonal cut flowers to bring joy, beauty, and delight to our local Rockford community.  Though flowers are not necessary for survival, we believe they feed the soul.  Just like our vegetables, they are grown with care for the health of our community and health of the land.

Our vision for the flowers is to spread this beauty and delight as far and wide as we can, inviting people to experience the flowers both on the farm and at their tables.

Purchasing Flowers at the Farm

There are multiple ways to bring our flowers to your table.  We offer weekly UPick Mondays from 9:30-11:30 am and Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 pm from July 1- Oct 14.  Wide paths are designed with you in mind.  Supervised children are welcome.  Bring your own vase, or purchase one from the farm.  Snips are available for your use.

We offer a 14 week Flower CSA Share running the first week of July through mid-October.  Each share includes a medium bouquet of 15-20 thoughtfully designed, freshly picked stems.

Not sure you want to commit to a whole season of flowers?  You can purchase a punch card -  a 7 bouquet punchcard allows you the flexibility to pick up a bouquet on a week that works for you.  This makes a great gift for the flower lovers in your life!

Interested in flowers for an event?  Fill a bucket with flowers of your choice for $50 or we'll design extra bouquets for you.  Email katharine@plainsongfarm.com for more details.

All proceeds from flower sales go towards our flower donation program!

Flower Donation

Appreciating and enjoying beauty in all its forms is fundamental to being human. We believe it shouldn’t be limited to those who can afford it. So we partner with businesses and individuals to donate bouquets and buckets of flowers to seniors and neighbors accessing resource centers in Northern Kent County.

Volunteers and staff tend the flowers and design bouquets that make it to neighbors' tables. Learn more about flower volunteering.
