June through October

At Plainsong Farm we are seeking to gather a community around good food, good work, and care for the earth and each other. Whether you’re looking to learn sustainable home economics, looking for community, or a place for your child to explore, there is something for you.

Let Them Play

This weekly drop-in time is designed for children of all ages along with their caregivers to explore the farm and deepen their connection to nature. The education garden, pine grove and mud kitchen will be open for child-led, self-guided, unstructured play. Come engage all your senses - taste what's ripe each week, search for bugs and birds, build a fort, or cook up a mudpie. Staff will be available to answer questions as needed. Stop in the Welcome Shed for a map and instructions.

Dates/Times:
Mondays 9:30-11:30am April 13-Nov 23
Wednesdays 4:30-6:30pm June 3-Oct 14
Cost: Free

Farm Workshops

Sustainable home economics is one of the many life-giving rhythms important to us at Plainsong Farm.   You are invited to learn alongside us ways to bring the earth and/or the harvest into your home, whether that be for the kitchen, for beauty and body care, or as art and play.  Join us and learn practices to ground you in hope.

Workshops will be led by Plainsong staff and community members and will include topics such as Foraging and Wildcrafting, Herbs for the Body and Home, Backyard Mushroom Cultivation and a Botanical Ink Plein Air.

Dates/Times:
  Wednesdays, 6:30 pm June 10, Aug 19, Sept 2 and Sept 30

Cost: Prices will vary depending on the workshop. We are committed to making these accessible regardless of ability to pay.

See below to learn more and register for specific workshops.

Potlucks

Join us in July and September, for a community potluck.  We’ll gather with a poem or song around good food. Whether you’re a CSA member or not, bring a dish to pass, a friend, or just show up with yourself.  A potluck is also included in Blessing of the Fields on May 17.

2026 Dates/Times: July 15 and Sept 16, 6:30 pm
