Emily Ulmer (she/her) was raised in the Chesapeake Bay watershed but has made West Michigan home for the last twenty years. She came to the farm in May of 2020 for a seminary internship and quickly made a home here. Emily’s work at Plainsong weaves together her experience as a worship planner, her passion for young adult discipleship, her commitment to environmental justice, and her background in grassroots community development. She is an avid baker, canner, podcast listener, and caretaker of indoor plants. She and her canine companion, Stu, can often be found exploring Michigan via the North Country Trail.
